Base Products

Kraemer Mining & Materials base products are 100% crushed and range from 3” Minus to 3/8” Minus. These products include fines from blasting and crushing, critical to compaction. These products are used as a foundation or base layer directly under concrete or asphalt roads, parking lots and runways. They can be compacted to a high density due to the mix of coarse and fine particles providing structural support.

Class 5 (1" Minus)

This limestone product is tan to light gray in color and is 1” on the top size down to dust. Class 5 is great for driveways, parking lots and road construction projects. It’s also a good base for pouring concrete patios or driveways.

3" Minus

This limestone rock is tan to light gray in color and is 3” on the top size down to dust. 3" Minus is great for stabilizing soft subsoil or solidifying areas of heavy traffic.

1.5" Minus

This product is tan to light gray in color and is 1.5" on the top size down to dust. 1.5" Minus is great for building driveways, and can also be used in areas with heavy traffic, or where soft subsoil is present.

Class 2 (3/4" Minus)

This limestone product is tan to light gray in color and is ¾” on the top size down to dust. Class 2 is great for driveways, parking lots and road construction. This product also works well as a base when installing pavers for patios or driveways.

3/8" Minus

This limestone product is tan to light gray in color and is 3/8” on the top size down to dust. It can be used to create walking paths or bike trails. It can also be used for horse stalls and arenas.
